Catch!

This is a dog I met in the park. She really loves running for the ball! I wanted to capture that full stretch moment as she reaches up to catch the ball. The tension through her body as she gauges it’s position and speed and commits herself to the catch. She makes such beautiful shapes!

I loved the expression of concentration in her eyes too. She really watched that ball! I painted her in acrylics on Pittura paper using a painting knife. There’s lots of texture and colour in her form.
