Founded in 1891, Dogs Trust (formerly the National Canine Defence League) is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. Our mission is to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
Battersea Dogs And Cats Home
We aim never to turn away a dog or cat in need of help. We reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners; when we can’t do this, we care for them until new homes can be found for them; and we educate the public about responsible pet ownership. Every year the Home cares for over 10,600 dogs and cats.
UK Bullmastiff Of The Year
Bullmastiff Puppy of the Year and the Bullmastiff Dog of the Year. An annual black tie event, supported by the Bullmastiff Breed Clubs and the Kennel Club. This is an eagerly anticipated event within the bullmastiff world, not only for the future growth and promotion of the Breed but an opportunity to help raise much needed funds for Bullmastiffs that come into rescue each year.
Wood Green Animal Shelters.
Established in 1924 in wood green, it now has 3 shelters offering both veterinary care and re-homing of a wide range of animals. London and Heydon are restricted to re-homing small animals and cats, where as Godmanchester is able to include dogs and field animals.
The Blue Cross
The Blue Cross aims to ensure the welfare of companion animals by providing practical care, highlighting the benefits of companionship between animals and people, and promoting responsibility towards animals in the community. They treat the animals of owners who cannot afford private veterinary services.
The PDSA
PDSA cares for the pets of needy people by providing free veterinary services to their sick and injured animals and by promoting responsible pet ownership. You can donate online.
Animal Lifeline UK
Animal Lifeline UK is an animal rescue organisation that works alongside other animal rescues throughout the whole of the UK. Our goal is to help to support the fantastic work they do by finding volunteers to help with: fostering, homechecking, fundraising, tansport and sssessing animals before they come into rescue or foster homes.

Independant Animal Rescue
